LTO is not only sustainable and safe but also a smart business solution
Too often, sustainability-minded industries must weigh their commitment to good global citizenship against their own bottom line. Although the reduction of carbon emissions is steadily becoming a mainstream goal, the most energy-efficient measures do not always fall within a company’s budget or meet its critical output needs.
Still, with the United Nations mandating that global carbon emissions drop by 45% by 2030, and with 75 countries pledging to achieve carbon neutrality by 2050, the pressure is on all sectors to make bold moves toward future-proof energy solutions.

To demonstrate why LTO is not only sustainable and safe but also a smart business solution, i will dispel three key myths about LTO batteries.
Myth 1 – LTO batteries are expensive
Although the initial cost of LTO batteries is higher than that of other lithium-ion varieties, the total cost of ownership makes it worth the up-front investment. And, the long life cycle of LTO batteries makes it a planet-friendly choice.
With the ability to be supercharged with 3 C or more 20 times per day, 365 days a year and still come with a 10-year guaranteed lifespan, the LTO’s cost-effectiveness goes hand in hand with its reliability and sustainability.
For applications in which heavy use is essential—such as mass transportation—the assurance that timetables won’t be threatened by charging concerns is a priceless commodity.
Sajan P. John, chief engineer, and additional general manager for the Kochi (India) Water Metro (KMRL), was tasked with finding a sustainable energy solution that would provide reliable transportation for a fleet of 78 boats along 38 terminals on Kochi’s ten islands, a distance of 76 km that would be traveled many times a day. “In an environmentally sensitive area,” he explains, “choosing a traditional diesel propulsion for such a vast project . . . is next to disaster.”
